Jack Dean Bowker

Jack D. Bowker of Portage passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Rose Arbor Hospice. The son of Lloyd and Helen (Bujack) Bowker, Jack was born in Kalamazoo in 1931. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War. Jack retired as a project manager from the James River Corp. and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church as well as a member of Westside Kalamazoo Kiwanis Club and active with Meals on Wheels. On August 25, 1956 in Kalamazoo Jack was united in marriage to the former Clara R. Santantonio who preceded him in death in 2005. Surviving are two sons, Timothy (Jill) Bowker of Troy, Michael (Cheryl) Bowker of Holt; daughter, Lisa (Bruce) Hartman of Novi; sister, Jill Garrison of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
