Jeanette Lucille Buckhout

Passed away on March 11, 2015 at the Bowman House in Three Rivers, MI. Jeanette was born on March 3, 1921 in Mason City, IA to Carl and Hilda Thomsen. Jeanette was united in marriage to W. Joe Buckhout in Kalamazoo on June 3, 1939. They were married 74 years before Joe’s passing on Dec. 31, 2013. Jeanette is survived by her daughter Judith Buckhout; three sons, David (Nellie) Buckhout, James (Marilyn) Buckhout, Mark (Charlene) Buckhout; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Therkelsen. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Goblet, Sally Parker; three brothers, Russell, Lyle and William Thomsen. Jeanette was employed at Sutherland Paper Co and Shepard Products. Jeanette and Joe retired to Klines Resort and wintered many years in Florida. Jeanette loved playing cards, bingo and going to the casino. Jeanette’s family is very grateful and appreciated the care and kindness that was given to Jeanette by the staff at the Bowman House, Three Rivers. Friends are being received Monday 5-7 pm at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008, (269) 343-6156. Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Mt.
