Linda Sue Roberts

Linda S. Roberts of Kalamazoo, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at home. Linda was born April 28, 1947 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Edward and Minnie (VanGennep) DeVries. She was a 1965 graduate of Comstock High School and later graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She was employed as an accountant as her primary career. Linda was past president and current active member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary Comstock VFW Post 6252. She was united in marriage to Ronald French in 1965, and later married Joseph Roberts in 1971. Surviving are three daughters: Ronda (Robert) Hamilton of Scotts, Renee (Bradley) Johnson of Union City, Christine (John) Udvardy of Three Rivers; 10 grandchildren: Joyce Higginbotham, Ethan Williams, Robert Hamilton II, Rochelle Hamilton, Rhianna Hamilton, Brady Johnson, Brooke Johnson, Brenna Johnson, Tasha Roberts and Stewart Udvardy, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was loved and will be greatly missed by many. Friends will be received 12 Noon to 1 pm Monday, March 30, 2015 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East “G” Ave. Parchment, MI 49004, (269) 349-7735, where services will be held at 1 pm. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Immediately following the graveside service, there will be a short memorial service followed by a wake at the Comstock VFW Post, 5990 East MI Ave, Kalamazoo, MI www.redmondfuneralhomes.net
