Carol Ann Sutton

Carol Ann Sutton of Kalamazoo, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Borgess Medical Center. Carol was born December 5, 1939 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Leo and Eunice (Herrington) Sutton. She graduated from WMU High School, received her bachelor’s degree from WMU, master’s degree from U of M and taught Spanish at Loy Norrix High School. Carol was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church and was a volunteer with Senior Services. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Shirley Sutton of Kalamazoo; two nieces, Karen Sutton of Kalamazoo, Nancy (Stephen) Wolf of Olatha, KS; two nephews, Kevin (Jane) Sutton of Kalamazoo, James (Alexandra) Sutton of Miami, FL; seven great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Norris Sutton. Friends are being received 6-8 pm Friday at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156 where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10:30 am Saturday at St. Monica Catholic Church.
