Thomas Edwin Puchalski

Thomas E. Puchalski of Kalamazoo, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at home. Thomas was born in Chicago, IL on December 21, 1917 the son of Antony & Phyllis (Smolinski) Puchalski. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree. He was an avid baseball fan and a long time Chicago Cubs fan. Thomas served in the United States Army from 1936 to 1945 during which time he earned a bronze star. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Titus); son, James Puchalski; three brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his son, Michael Puchalski; grandchildren, Michele Kubat, Meghan Knowlton, and Tom Puchalski. Friends will be received 6-8 pm Thursday, June 11, at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East "G" Ave. Parchment, MI 49004 (269) 349-7735. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am, Friday, June 12, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. James O’Leary, Celebrant. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
