Thomas Richard Nash

Thomas Richard Nash, age 54, cherished son of Kathryn T. Nash and William C. Nash (deceased), brother of Laura Alice Hageman, Arlington, VA, Dr. Kathryn Marie DeWitt, Atherton, CA, Robert Philip Nash, Dallas, TX, Gail Nash Arnold, Irving, TX, Richard Joseph Nash, Burnsville, MN and John Edward Nash (deceased), Passed away on July 11, 2015 in Kalamazoo after a lengthy illness. Tom, born 1/9/1961 with Down's Syndrome, enjoyed a happy and active life shared with his family, many friends and associates while living with the assistance of the professional, caring and nurturing staff of Residential Opportunities, Inc. (ROI). He had the chance to attend school and work at several jobs in the Kalamazoo area. The Nash Family would especially like to recognize and thank the many ROI staff who devoted significant attention and care to Tom while as a resident of Hoard Manor and an adjacent individual residence. Tom was a lifelong member of St. Monica's Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, July 14 at 1:30 PM at St. Augustine Cathedral, 542. W. Michigan Ave., Kalamazoo. The family asks that in lieu of flowers an interested person should make a donation in Tom's name to Residential Opportunity, Inc., ROI Administration Office, 1100 S. Rose St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
