Joan Elaine Williams

Joan Elaine Williams passed away Monday, Jan 25, 2016, at New Friends Assisted Living, 3700 West Michigan, Ave., Kalamazoo, MI. Joan was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1935. She attended Western Michigan University and worked as a comptroller at a salvage company. Joan became a member of the Baha’i Faith in 1974. She married Dale Williams in 1982 and served as the secretary of the Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Kalamazoo Township. Joan is the daughter of Robert M. Moore, Jr. and Ida Foster Moore. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Dale Williams, and her parents. She is survived by an adopted son Gregory Kruizenga, an adopted daughter, and a stepsister. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, Jan 27, 2016 at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 South Westnedge, Kalamazoo, MI, followed by burial in Mountain Home Cemetery, West Main Hill in Kalamazoo. www.redmondfuneralhomes.net
