Dorothy Stimac of Kalamazoo passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Kalamazoo. Dorothy was born March 17, 1931 in Dearborn. She was the daughter of Leo and Evelyn (Umlor) Dombrowski. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Dorothy was the president of the Kalamazoo chapter of the American Federation of Astrology in the 1970s. She was a member of the Lady of Fidelity, a volunteer social worker and helper of the blind. She was treasurer of Welcome Wagon, Ways and Means and the news editor of the Jaycees. Surviving are two daughters, Debra (Brad) Buder, Lisa (Bill Hammond) Dykstra; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, brothers ,Richard and David Dombrowski and sister Cheryl Austin. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Eric and sister, Roberta Turza. A memorial mass will be celebrated 11 am Monday March 28, 2016 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Parchment. A private interment will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Paws with a Cause or St. Ambrose Church.
