John R. Brady

John R. Brady of Portage passed away Wednesday May 11, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. John was born October 25, 1933 in Kalamazoo the son of Thomas and Nola (Emmons) Brady. He graduated from St. Augustine High School where he was active in many sporting activities; he also enjoyed golfing and was an avid Notre Dame fan. On March 5, 1955 in Kalamazoo John was united in marriage to the former Linda DeBruyn who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Dan (Dawn) Brady of Portage, Kevin (Lauri) Brady of Portage, Kelly Brady of Kalamazoo, Sean (Crisi) Brady of Portage; three daughters, Tammy (Todd) Lipschultz of Alta Loma, CA, Kathy (Don) Roquemore of Rowlett, TX, Maureen Berger of Portage; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Denise Brady of Kalamazoo, Janie (Bob) Steffler of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Brady and two sisters, Ann (Ron) VerHage, Susan Porter. A memorial visitation will be held 4-7 pm Friday May 20, 2016 at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S.
