Marie E. Stoner

Marie E. Stoner of Tecumseh formerly of Kalamazoo, passed away Thursday June 23, 2016 at the Fieldstone Assisted Living. Marie was born September 12, 1917 in Dorr the daughter of John and Theresa (Herp) Gries. She retired after 30 years as a Master Craftswoman from General Motors and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Log Cabin Quilters, and the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Stoner in 2004; two sisters; three brothers. Surviving is a son, Michael Stoner; daughter, Charlene Stubbs; four grandchildren, Blake Stubbs, John Stoner, Paul Stoner, Shanna Trost; great-grandson, Jack Charles Trost; brother, Frank (Betty) Gries; sister, Kay Gries-Walsh; scores of nieces & nephews. Friends are being received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday June 27, 2016 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East "G" Ave. Parchment, MI 49004 (269) 349-7735 where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 939 Charlotte Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
