Ransom Louis Beilby

Ransom L. Beilby of Kalamazoo passed away Sunday June 26, 2016 at Rose Arbor Hospice. Ransom was born December 4, 1939 in Kalamazoo the son of Harold and Genevive (Scovel) Beilby. He was in the last graduating class of Richland High School, he was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during Operation C-Scan, Cuban Missile Crisis serving aboard the USS Archer Fish and USS Strong. He was employed by Eaton Mfg. and owned the Parchment Stamp & Printing and owned Parchment Coin and Hobby. He was united in marriage in Richland to the former Margaret Franke who preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 1999. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Katheryn Beilby in 2015. Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Jerry) Carpenter of Kalamazoo, Dawn (John) Chamberlin of Kalamazoo; son, David (Sarah) Beilby of Kalamazoo; nine grandchildren, Jessica (Andre), Jennifer (Ed) Brad (Paige), Katie (Ben), Kayla, Jade, Hogan, Ariel, Maya; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Beilby, Harold (Kay) Beilby, Edwin (Mary) Beilby; three sisters, Shirley Franklin, Beverly (Roger) Meyers, Susan (Mike) Martin; many nieces & nephews. Friends & family will meet at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home at 10:30 am Monday July 11, 2016 to process to Riverside Cemetery for an 11:00 am service. Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Arbor of Kalamazoo.
