Travis James Peebles

Travis James Peebles of Portage passed away unexpectedly Thursday September 15, 2016 at home. Travis was born February 6, 1987 in Kalamazoo the son of Harlan and Tammy (Knapp) Peebles. He was a graduate of Portage Central High School and was formerly employed by Stress-Con. Travis enjoyed fishing, woodworking and music. On June 17, 2011 Travis was united in marriage to the former Chastity Ash who survives. Also surviving is a son, Josiah Peebles of Portage; father Harlan Peebles of Portage; mother Tammy Knapp of Mattawan; maternal grandmother, Carlene (Eygner) Peebles; two sisters, Daniele Peebles of Kalamazoo, Desire Butler of Kalamazoo; brother, Seth Barringer of Vicksburg; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Franklin Peebles. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Tuesday September 20, 2016 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for Josiah.
