Marilynn Henrietta Welborn

Marilynn H. Welborn of Kalamazoo passed away Tuesday October 4, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Marilynn was born November 21, 1931 in Omaha, NE the daughter of Harold and Jeanne (Gemmell) Smith. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed reading. Marilynn was united in marriage to Douglas W. Welborn in Augusta, GA and he preceded her in death in 2010, also preceding her in death is a granddaughter, Kimberly Welborn. Surviving are three daughters, Deborah (Ray) Rowe of Plainwell, MI, Kristianne (Tito) Cantu of Lindon, WA, Marcia (Gary) Szostek of Avondale, AZ; two sons, Scott (Cynthia) Welborn of Plainfield, IL, Kerry (Andrea) Welborn of Sterling Heights, MI; sister, Sharon Bitzes of Winthrop, WA; brother, Roger Smith of Longview, WA; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Interment will be in Platte Twp. Cemetery, Honor, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to CdLS Foundation or March of Dimes.
