Anne M. Anson 86 of Kalamazoo passed away peacefully on Saturday February 18, 2023 at Park Place Assisted Living. Anne was born October 4, 1936 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Roy and Flora (Ouellette) Hazard. She was a very creative person; the hallway in her home had a mural painted on it. Having an older truck she painted daisies on, the truck became known as the Daisy Hauler. She learned stained glass when her children were older, and eventually opened her own stained glass studio. Her largest work was the main stained glass window at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Augusta. On June 11, 1955 in Kalamazoo Anne was united in marriage to Richard Anson, who preceded her in death on November 22, 2020. Also preceding her in death are two brothers, Joe and Vern Hazard; sister, Catherine Bertholet. Surviving are five children, Scott Anson, Denise Martineau, Jeffrey Anson, David (Martha) Anson, Gregory Anson; sister, Alice (Richard) Prince; brother, Rev. Msgr. Michael Hazard; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. A Rosary will be recited at 4 pm Sunday February 26, 2023 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, A visitation will follow 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 am Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland.
