David Almeron Thornton

David A. Thornton 72 of Plainwell was born December 25, 1946 in Battle Creek the son of Almeron and Mildred (Pierce) Thornton. David was retired as a millwright for II Stanley in Battle Creek and enjoyed fishing, camping, and hiking. Surviving are a son, Gerald Thornton of Battle Creek; two daughters, Jennifer (Paul) Bykowicz of Bellevue, Victoria (Mike) House of Plainwell; brother, Ron (Kathleen) Thornton of Dowling; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Flora Thornton; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Almeron Thornton; sister, Paula Vincent. A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday September 14, 2019 in the chapel at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 247 W.
