David Lee Bartholomew 87 of Galesburg passed away Monday December 25, 2023 at home. David was born January 13, 1936 in Kalamazoo. He graduated from St. Augustine High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran. David was the owner of TV Reception Specialists and retired as an accountant for St. Julian Winery and St.  Monica Church, he was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and was ordained a Permanent Deacon for the Diocese of Kalamazoo on June 27, 1999. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and family gatherings. On January 12, 1957 in Kalamazoo David was united in marriage to the former Sharon Rohr who preceded him in death on July 28, 2018. Also preceding him in death was his parents, Francis and Mary Smith; brother, Thomas Bartholomew;. Surviving are four Children, David Bartholomew, Jr., Christine Huot, Lisa Dearth, Robert Bartholomew; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Frances Smith; several nieces & nephews. Friends will be received 5-7 pm Tuesday January 2, 2024 St. Augustine Cathedral, Kalamazoo where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Wednesday at St. Augustine Cathedral. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
