Elaine L. Miecznikowski

Elaine L. Miecznikowski 90 of Kalamazoo formerly of Chicago, IL passed away Saturday December 18, 2021 at home. Elaine was born June 14, 1931 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Michael and Frances (Allevto) Serpe. She retired after 46 years of employment at Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago. Elaine was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church where she was very active in providing funeral luncheons. On January 9, 1954 Elaine was united in marriage to Frank Miecznikowski who preceded her in death on January 28, 2010. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Surviving are a daughter, Frances (Timothy) Herdegen; two grandchildren, Timothy (Nickki) Herdegen, Kelly (Julie) Forward; five great-grandchildren, A.J., Sofia, Brendon, Paxson, Carlinn; several nieces & nephews. Graveside services will be held 2:30 pm, Thursday December 23, 2021 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. www.redmondfuneralhomes.net
