Gerald Douglas Knauss

Gerald Douglas Knauss 74 of Kalamazoo passed away Friday November 18, 2022 at the Battle Creek V.A. Medical Center. Gerald was born December 29, 1947 in Hastings the son of Douglas and Mary (Cooley) Knauss. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He worked many years for James Rivers before going to and retiring from building maintenance. He enjoyed flea markets, cinema, antiques, history and woodworking. He is survived by his former wife, Nell Lena Knauss and their four children: Gerald Knauss II, Brandi (Paul) Seilheimer, Jennifer Knauss, Lindsey Lovrenovic; sister, Sharon Rice; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2023 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
