Gilbert Howell Jackson

Gilbert H. Jackson 99 of Kalamazoo passed away Monday September 9, 2019 at Park Place Assisted Living. Gilbert was born July 23, 1920 in Racine, WI the son of Gilbert and Clarebelle (Lightner) Jackson. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WW II receiving two Bronze Stars. Gilbert retired after 30 years from Eaton Mfg and was an avid animal lover, enjoyed writing poetry and playing the piano. He was united in marriage to the former Betty Allen who preceded him in death in 2012. Also preceding him in death were his two children, Rodney and Sharon Jackson and a sister. Surviving are his good friends, Lou & Patricia Zacharias and Robert & Laurie Fugate. Private graveside services will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
