James (Jim) Harold Niedzielski

James H. Niedzielski passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019.  James (Jim) was born in Bay City Michigan June 23, 1935 to Walter and Marguerite (Morand) Niedzielski. Jim enlisted into the U.S Navy in 1954 where he proudly served over 30 years. Jim worked for Kalamazoo Building and Grounds for over 20 years. Jim loved sports some of his favorites were hockey, bowling and softball. He also took the time to ride his motorcycle but among his favorite activities were camping and spending time with his family. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; 2 grandchildren and 1 great- grandson, 2 brothers: Raymond and Robert. Surviving is his wife Joan (Leet) Niedzielski who he married in the fall of 1955.Also Surviving are His 9 children, Susan Lumbard, Katherine Mattison, Linda (Larry) Quick, Tim Niedzielski, Thomas (Pam) Niedzielski, Steven Niedzielski, David Niedzielski, Karole (Jim) Michalka and Denise Kellogg. 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, siblings: Nadine (Niedzielski) Newton and Ann Niedzielski – (Kenny) Potts, several nieces & nephews.  There will be a family hour at Redmond Funeral Home (4100 S Westnedge Ave) 5-6 pm Friday, June 14 , 2019 Friends will be received 6-8 pm Following Family hour  where a rosary will be cited at 7:30 Pm. There will be a visitation from 10 until 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am.  Rev. Fr. Bill Jacobs Celebrant. There will be a luncheon immediately following at Marian Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Battle Creek Veteran Administration Medical Center. www.Redmondfuneralhomes.net
