Jamie Rasco Davis

Our beloved Jamie Davis was born on April 1, 1987, in Chicago, IL and shortly after moved to Kalamazoo, MI. Succumbing to an unknown illness, Jamie made his transition on November 10, 2023. 

Staying true to his birthday, April Fool's Day, Jamie’s sense of humor was unmatched. He was able to make you laugh, even during tough times. Jamie was resilient, noticing at an early age that he was not dealt the best hand but still remained hopeful and optimistic. He reminded himself daily that there was a “Greater Later”, a phrase he often used. Jamie wore his heart on his sleeve and could compassionately cry at the drop of a hat for those he loved, which was many. He showed his love by being there for you, loving you, and making you laugh. 

Jamie was an extremely intelligent, self-educated man who worked hard to make his loved ones proud. Determination was an understatement; he did not let anything stop him from reaching his goals. He took pride in being humble by thanked GOD for, not only what was good in his life, but thanked him for the lessons in the bad things. 

Jamie leaves to treasure the memory of his love, his spiritual father, Jerry McNeely, siblings Brian (Kendra) Morrison, Natalie (Robert) Watts, Noelle, (Marlo) McDowell, Lauren (Timothy) Cameron, Derrell Daniels, Dana Brown, Shayla Brown, Edward Jackson, Joyce Myles, Keith (Rateya) Davis, spiritual brothers, a special family, The Bakers, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. 

Jamie is preceded in death by his mother's Patricia A. Daniels, Ruthie M. Davis, father John A. Folden and brother Tyrese Sykes.

Friends will be recieved 11 am - 12 pm Monday November 27, 2023 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo where services will follow at 12 pm. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. www.redmondfuneralhomes.net
