John Thomas Gordon

John Thomas Gordon born Nov 9, 1933, died April 24, 2020 peacefully at home. Second child of Clete and Mary (Butine) Gordon. Preceded in death by his sister Marilyn (Gordon) Jones. Survived by his wife Maxine (Iciek) and sons Joe (Theresa) Gordon and Andy (Lynn) Gordon, and four grandchildren Megan, John, Matthew and Mary Rose, and brother-in-law Desmond Jones. On October 24, 1959 John was united in marriage to Maxine Iciek, and they have been married for 60 years. He graduated from St. Augustine High School, attended WMU, was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. He retired from Upjohn as a Facilities Engineer where he worked for 30 years. The early retirement years were spent traveling and golfing with his trusty 7 wood. In his later years, he enjoyed sitting in the sun, enjoying the sound of the water, boating, and embracing the warmth of the fireplace. He always enjoyed being around family, watching his grandchildren, and sneaking extra treats to the dogs. His timely advice and quiet world observances will be missed. Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
