Karen was born February 21, 1957 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Earl Robert and Pauline Katherine (Hudson) Steeby.
she was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and enjoyed Crocheting, NeedlePoint,and Knitting,
On October 26, 1985, in Kalamazoo, MI, she married James Anthony Fortunato who preceded in death April 9, 2017.
Also preceding her in death were, two brothers, Barry Stephen Steeby, Michael Jay Steeby. She is survived by her brother, Mark Andrew (Susan) Steeby of Taylor, MI; sister, Theresa Lynne Odisher of Battle Creek, MI;
A graveside service will be held at East Cooper Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Ataxia Foundation.at www.ataxia.org
