Kenneth John Kruizenga

Kenneth John Kruizenga 88 of Kalamazoo passed away Saturday July 8, 2023, at home.

Kenneth was born May 12, 1935, in Kalamazoo the son of John and Mabel (Stanaszek) Kruizenga.  Kenneth graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Western Michigan University. He retired from Eaton Manufacturing.  He was an active member of the Kalamazoo YMCA for over 50 years. He enjoyed antiquing, playing paddle ball, and was an avid runner.

Kenneth was united in marriage to the former Virginia Guarisco in Kalamazoo on April 12, 1957; Virginia survives. Also surviving are four children, Kathleen Pavlack (Richard Glassman), Jackalyn Kruizenga-Dailey, Kenneth Kruizenga, Bradley Kruizenga; three grandchildren, Samantha Pixley, Malory Snyder, Carly Pavlack; five great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo YMCA.
