Lillian Ellis

Lillian Ellis of Kalamazoo passed away Friday February 16, 2018 at Oakview Terrace. Lillian was born July 31, 1924 in Kalamazoo. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and retired from Portage Public Schools as a bus driver. Lillian was united in marriage in 1946 in Kalamazoo to Woodrow Ellis who preceded her in death in 2012. Also preceding her are four brothers and four sisters; granddaughter Lindsey Marie Hoffman. Surviving are a son Steve (Julie) Ellis of Kalamazoo; daughter, Sue (Daniel) Visser of Kalamazoo; Three grandchildren, Megan and Andrew Ellis, Tamara Derhemmer; five great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Friends will be received 5-8 pm Wednesday February 21, 2018 at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156 where services will be held 11 am Thursday.
