Lillie Mae Lamorandier

Lillie Mae Lamorandier 97 of Kalamazoo passed away Friday September 8, 2023 at Rose Arbor Place. Lillie Mae was born April 26, 1926 in Mattawan the daughter of Frank and Dessie (DuBois) Arndt. She was a graduate of Mattawan High School, salutatorian of class of 1943, then served in the Nurses Cadet Corps during World War II graduated from St. Camillus Nursing School at Borgess Hospital and was employed  as a private nurse then for Bronson Hospital  and retired from Borgess Hospital after 29 years of service. Lillie Mae was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling, embroidery, crocheting, and reading. On March 8, 1948 in Lansing, MI Lillie Mae was united in Marriage to Kenneth Lamorandier who preceded her in death on June 6, 2000. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Rosemary Heffner on March 19, 2016; two brothers, Virgil Arndt, Marion Arndt; sister, Rosalie Strong. Surviving are four daughters, Kathleen Ross, Barbara (Daniel) Caswell, Joanne (Mason) MacVean, Cheryl (Gary) Kirschman; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews; several cousins. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday September 13, 2023 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11 am Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kalamazoo. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
