Lucille Bernice Burgwald

Lucille B. Burgwald of Kalamazoo passed away Thursday August 30, 2018 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Lucille was born March 13, 1933 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Ray and Bernice (Dhaenens) Chadderdon. She worked as an LPN at Borgess Medical Center. Needlework was a hobby and she was an accomplished seamstress. She loved cooking and baking, camping and jigsaw puzzles. She had an adventurous spirit, she traveled cross-country by motorcycle with her husband, and explored Mexico and Europe. Friend to many and loving to family, she will be dearly missed. On June 7, 1952 in Kalamazoo Lucille was united in marriage to Eugene Burgwald who survives. She had two children, Ray (Pat) Burgwald and Rita (Ron) Parshall; three brothers, Joe, Harold and Jim Chadderdon; four sisters, Vera Russell, Margaret Ecker, Grace Bonhomme, and Sr. Janet Chadderdon, CSJ; four grandchildren, Tammy, Travis, Raymond and Justin; one great-grandson, Cameron. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Parshall, and brothers Jim and Joe Chadderdon.  Friends are being received 5:30 - 8 pm Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home 2300 East "G" Ave. Parchment, MI 49004 (269) 349-7735 with a scripture service at 7:30. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
