Melba Marie Lipscomb

Melba M. Lipscomb of Kalamazoo passed away at home on August 29, 2023 surrounded by her family. Melba was born in Moulton, Alabama on November 3, 1928, the daughter of Ewing and Rose Bean. She was united in marriage to Raymond Lipscomb in 1943 and the family moved to Kalamazoo in 1951. She was employed at Allen Test products, and she enjoyed baking especially banana bread and spending time with her family. Melba was preceded in death by Raymond in April of  1999, and sons: Harold in March of 2003 and Danny in November of 2011. Surviving are: daughter Mary Kathryn (Bob) French, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. Family & Friends will be received Tuesday Sept 5, 2023 from 6 until 8pm at Redmond Funeral Home, where services will be held Wednesday Sept. 6, 2023 at 11am.  Rev. Andrew Thompson officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Ever - Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: St.Jude’s Children’s Hospital
