Michael Wayne Butler

Michael W. Butler 57 of Kalamazoo, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Michael was born July 21, 1963 in Kalamazoo the son of Richard and Marilyn (Boyle) Butler. He was a U.S. Army veteran and volunteered at the Battle Creek V.A. Medical Center where he was involved in musical therapy and enjoyed building guitars, he also volunteered for Make-A-Wish Foundation and umpired at Parchment Little League. Surviving are his father, Richard Butler of Tennessee; two children, Shelby (Chris Raybeck) Butler of Kalamazoo, John (Justin Pierson) Butler of Kalamazoo; brother, Rick Butler of Watervliet; four sisters, Dawn (Brad) Miller of Kalamazoo, Toni (Tim) Hocutt of Watervliet, Debbie (Joel) Bock of Homer, Diane (Shahin) Yazdani of Ottawa, ON; three grandchildren, Page, Evelyn & Sopha; several nieces & nephews including Rebecca (Joshua) Patterson. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Butler and a brother, Chris Butler, and best friend Larry Ford. Friends will be received 5-7 pm Friday, October 9, 2020 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home. Private family interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
