Richard Thomas Auton

Passed away Saturday June 2, 2018 at home. Richard was born December 4, 1933 in Battle Creek the son of Randall and Pauline (Mitchell) Auton. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Richard retired from Kellogg Co. where he was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club and the American Legion and he enjoyed woodworking. On November 17, 1956 in Battle Creek Richard was united in marriage to the former Roquetta Goodhew who survives. Also Surviving are two children, Harold (Karen) and Steve (Debbie); five grandchildren, Ricky, David, Steven, Christena, Kelly; three great-grandchildren, Parker Ann, Briggs and Amber Gracie; sister Toni; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded by his son Mark, and brother Gordie. Friends will be received 6-8 pm Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home. Services will be held 1 pm Thursday at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hickory Corners American Legion Post 484/Park.
