Roy Donald Salvagio

Roy D Salvaggio "Don"  71 of Parchment Michigan passed away peacefully at his home on March 25th 2019. Don was born to Thelbert and Ruth (Hackman) Mckinney on January 21st 1948 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  In 1948 Ruth Mckinney would remarry Anthony Salvaggio,  Anthony would  adopt Don which gave him his last name Salvaggio. Don would go on to marry Patricia Kole in Kalamazoo on December 12th 1967 who also precedes him in death. The two were married just shy of 50 years.  Don worked in the Bryant Street Papermill for over 20 years, and he enjoyed taking numerous trips on his Harley with his wife throughout the years. Also preceding him in death were his parents, and a half sister Nancy. Surviving him are his children, Joe (Tracy) Salvaggio of Parchment, Brian and (Tracy Hopwood-)Salvaggio of Kalamazoo;  a brother Jimmy Salvaggio of North Dakota; a brother Ronnie McKinney;  3 sisters, Pam Salvaggio, Debbie Mckinney, and Elaine Mckinney all of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren Brittany Hawthorne, and Scott Sulka; a great granddaughter Emmalynn Sulka and several nieces and nephews. A small graveside service was held at Mount Ever-rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Redmond Funeral Home 4100 S.
