Ruby Jewel Johnson

Ruby Jewel Johnson Passed away April 30, 2021 at home. Ruby was born in Catron, MO on January 23, 1934, the daughter of Elmer and Delia (Lawrence) Ballard. She was employed by Kalamazoo public Schools in Food Service. She attended Liberty Chapel in Dowagiac. Ruby was preceded in death by a son: Terry Johnson, sisters: Bonnie Ballard, Betty Thrasher, Virginia Long and Marie Cockron, brothers: Jesse and James Ballard, daughter in law: Sharon Johnson. Ruby is survived by her husband William whom she married July 5, 1950 and was united for 70 years. Also surviving are her children: Patricia & Dean Williams of Kalamazoo, Mike Johnson of Bloomingdale, Pamela & Dale Morrison of Parchment, 5 grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, siblings: Barbara Jordan of AZ, Harvey Ballard of Vicksburg and Jerry Ballard of MO, several nieces & nephews. Entombment has taken place. Memorials may be made to Compassus of Portage Michigan or Liberty Chapel Church.
