Shirley Ann Ptacek

Shirley Ann Ptacek of Portage, Michigan, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2022 at Fountain View of Portage. Shirley was born August 26, 1936 in Tekonsha the daughter of John and Louise (Hoenes) Sanders. She was famous for her cakes, sugar cookies, Chex mix and candies. Shirley loved working at Comerica Bank and Wings Stadium, going to her grandchildren’s sporting events; she had lots of lifetime friends and enjoyed spending time with family from kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Surviving are two sons, Randy (Linda) Ptacek, Robert (Cathy) Ptacek; four grandchildren, Lisa (Adam)Danapilis, Todd (Brianne)Ptacek, David (Hannah)Ptacek, Kelly (Dan)Robinson; four great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Nolan, Benjamin, and Kenzie. Graveside services will be held 10 am Friday October 14, 2022 at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. Fr. Mike Wood of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, officiating.
