Steven Michael Cooper

Steven Michael Cooper 63 of Kalamazoo passed away Tuesday April 28, 2020 in Kalamazoo. Steven was born March 10, 1957 in Jackson the son of Charles and Suzanne (O’Connell) Cooper, Jr. He retired from Michigan Dept. of Transportation and enjoyed disc golf and woodworking. On May 15, 2015 in Kalamazoo Steven was united in marriage to the former Sheila (Finkbiner-Baker) Cooper who survives. Also surviving are three children, Nicole (Tim) Martin of Kalamazoo, Ryan (Laura) Cooper of Fennville, Patrick (Natalya) Cooper of Jacksonville, FL; two step-daughters, Jennifer Baker of South Pittsburg, TN, Valarie Stager of Three Rivers; brother, Robert (Carol) Cooper of Berrien Springs; sister, Charlotte (Bud) Bower of Southington, OH; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Cooper; sister, Karen Baronoski; and a granddaughter. Private family services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Gift of life.
