Thuong Thi Ngo Nguyen

On January 2, 2024 Thuong Thi Ngo Nguyen passed away at Ascension Borgess Hospital surrounded by her love ones. Thuong was born on October 16, 1931 in Nam Dinh, Vietnam.  The daughter of Hanh Van Ngo (father)  & Tinh Thi Phan (mother). She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Benjamine Gia Nguyen on Feb. 15, 2017, and a brother Tham Ngo.  Thuong is survived by 8 children: Tina T. Cao (husband Gerald) of Grand Rapids, MI., Hoi Nguyen (Loan) of Atlanta, GA., Mai Glova of Las Vegas, NV., Vien Nguyen (wife Oanh) of Byron Center, MI., Chuc Nguyen (wife Diem ) of Caledonia, MI., Lien Hamman (Joe) of Mattawan, MI., Kim-Anh Crown of New York City, NY., Thanh Nguyen of Chicago, IL. She was a beloved grandmother to (Eric, Vanessa, Stephanie, Nicholas, Maxwell, Jacob, Kara, Christian, Athena, and Kody) and great-grandmother to (Grayson, Elliana, Taila, and Lillia. Her surviving siblings are ... sister, Nga Nguyen of Parchment, MI., brother, Thu' Ngo of New Orleans, LA., brother, Thu Ngo (wife Phung) of New Orleans, LA. and Nam Ngo (wife Dung) of Lansing, MI. And numerous nieces & nephews. Benjamine & Thuong, along with their 8 children, moved to the United States in 1975 and resided in Kalamazoo, MI until her passing. Thuong was a member of Comstock Christian Reformed Church, formally Parchment Reformed Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working at her best friends - Linda & Steve French’s greenhouse, walking with her neighbors, shopping and cooking for her family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held at Redmond Funeral Home on Saturday Jan. 6, 2024. Visitation opens at 9:30AM. Service at 11AM with Pastor Dan Brouwer. The burial at Graceland Memorial Park in Grand Rapids.
