Ulysses T. Huntley 69 of Portage passed away Tuesday April 20, 2021 at home. Ulysses was born November 6, 1951 in Miami, FL. He is a son of Thomas and Bertha (Coker) Huntley. He attended the University of Miami and retired from the Stryker Corporation. Ulysses was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the Marine Corps, he was a member of AmVets and Kalamazoo Bass Club. Ulysses enjoyed bass fishing tournaments, hunting and bowling. On November 17, 1972 in Orlando, FL. Ulysses was united in marriage to the former Patricia Holmes who survives. Also surviving are two children, Kimberly (Gary) Huntley-Reinhart, Thomas (Rebecca) Huntley; Six grandchildren, Alexis, Phaudrea, Damion, Drake, Alyssa and Alicia; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Nicole Huntley in 2016 and his Sister Cynthia Florine-Huggins. Friends are being received 1:00 – 2:30 pm Wednesday April 28, . 2021 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo. Graveside services will follow at Mt.
