Wilhelmina VanderNaald 105 of Kalamazoo passed away Wednesday March 4, 2010 at Crystal Woods Assisted Living. Wilhelmina was born July 1, 1914 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Harry and Jenny (VanderWest) Evenhouse. She was a member of Comstock Christian Reformed Church where she was church organist. Wilhelmina taught piano and organ and enjoyed gardening, sewing, music, word games and traveling. On August 30, 1940 in Chicago, IL Wilhelmina was united in marriage to Bartel VanderNaald who preceded her in death on January 25, 2001. Also preceding her in death are two sons, Rev. Lewis VanderNaald and Dr. Philip VanderNaald; five brothers, Martin, Clarence, Raymond, Harold, Elmer Evenhouse; three sisters, Angeline Mulder, Ruth Broersma, Marian Auwerda. Surviving are two daughters, Ellen Kilpatrick of Petoskey, Nancy (Rev. Fr. James) Burns of Washington; sister, Jean Winter of Indian Head Park, IL; brother-in-law, Henry Auwerda; daughter-in-law, Valorie VanderNaald; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Private graveside services were held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo.
