William E. Freeman

William E. Freeman of Kalamazoo passed away Wednesday August 18, 2021 at home. Bill was born March 12, 1927 in Hammond, IN the son of Frank and Evelyn (Poulson) Freeman. He was a WW II veteran serving in the Merchant Marines and then the Army. Bill retired from life sales for Prudential Insurance and was always known as a car guy and had over 80 cars during his lifetime. He looked forward each Sunday to the Hour of Power broadcast with Bobby Shuller. On June 18, 1986 in Winchester, VA Bill was united in marriage to the former Marlene Lowell who survives. Also surviving are two children, James (Julie) Freeman of Indianapolis, IN, Nancy Freeman of Ft. Meyers, FL; step-son, Scott (Janet) Sage of Rocky Mount, NC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Freeman; sister, Nancy Freeman. Friends and family will gather at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home by 10:15 am to process to Ft. Custer National Cemetery where services will be held at 11 am Monday, August 23, 2021.
