Yvonne Doris Richards

Yvonne D. Richards was the second of six children born to the late Burnice Edward Robbins and Mildred Pearl Royce on 2/4/1924 in Edmore, Michigan. She married Robert W. Richards and together they had three children: Judith (Richard) Santek, Janith (Norman) Minshall and preceding her in death John Richards; survived by daughter in law, Diann Stender;  Yvonne’s siblings:, Clayton and Estelle Robbins, preceding her in death; Helen Newton (Ken Senholtz and Dave Newton (preceded), Beverly (Clerence) Gross (Preceded), Wanda (preceded) and Daughter in law  Carol Robbins ; survived by brother in law, Harry Taylor and Brother Bob Robbins; Yvonne has eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Yvonne was the first daughter and at a young age became her mother’s helper. At age 11 the sixth sibling was born, Wanda. Yvonne was thrilled to have a real, live baby doll to take care of and willingly became a mom figure in Wanda’s life. This was the beginning of her life mission to help all of her family members in any way that she could. The family wished to convey their heartfelt thanks to the care givers at Park Place Living Center. We appreciate that you loved our mom and took such good care of her right to the last. A celebration of Yvonne’s life will be 5-8 pm Friday May 17, 2019 at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156.
